Easily connect to password protected Network Attached Storage
Well, you've done it. You've bought yourself a shiny new, network attached storage device, you've happily set up shared folders for all of your photos, music, and common documents. Then you've realized that you need to password protect some of the documents.
Why would you need to password protect documents? If you work from home, you don't want your children deleting your presentation you've been working on for the boss for the last three weeks. Or you have sensitive financial information you don't want seen. Or you're just paranoid. Either way, you put the password on, and you try to open up the folder, like this, in explorer:

That should work, you think. Well, yes if you want to be asked this, the first time you log on every day:

Why won't Windows remember my password?
Try as you may, you may not be able to get Windows to remember your password. Only Windows Vista Business can remember passwords at all. And worse than that, Windows will usually only store one password per share, so if you have more than one password on your folders, you'll be out of luck.
That's where Autoshares Network Connection Manager comes in. After you install the program, it will automatically connect to any network drives you specify, storing your passwords in an encrypted format on your computer, so if your login onto windows is password protected, that will be the only password you'll need to remember.
Autoshares Network Connection Manager to the rescue!

Just run the program, and it instantly shows you the network connections you've set up. You can also directly map a network location to a drive letter if required.
Even better, the program doesn't litter your screen with a popup thats winking at you from the taskbar. The program connects to the network, and then then exits, letting your computer get on with the job you want it to.
To add a new connection, just double click a blank area, and enter the details of the connection. Its as simple as that!
