Surface Level Help and FAQs

Being faced with a new program is tricky, but we've put together a few tips to get you started.

Tilt the tablet and line up the green lines with what you want to measure. The angle reads out in the middle of the screen.

You can also calibrate the readings. Select calibrate from the bottom app bar, and follow the simple instructions.

Known Issues

Currently, we're getting reports that the camera does not always switch back on when you switch back to the app. As a workaround until we figure out the cause, please use the switch camera button on the bottom appbar.

Shortcut Keys

Don't forget the following shortcut keys, available in most windows apps

• +C Bring up the charms bar
• +H Share
• +I Bring up the settings bar
• +P Project to a connected screen
• +Z Show the App Bar
• +, Hide the current window temporarily
• +. Cycle through the dock states
• +Enter Start Narrator
• +Tab Show other running apps
• ALT + Left Arrow Navigate Back to previous page
• ALT + Right Arrow Navigate forward to next page
